Hello, HUSTers at Tech,

This is a proposal of donation to help out Lijing Liu, one of HUSTers at UT Arlington, US. She's been in coma since a serious stroke on the early morning of July 13th.

It was recognized as ArterioVenous Malformation of brain (AVM; 动静脉交通畸形引发脑溢血) and the first surgery was conducted on July 14th. The doctor said her conciousness would depend on next surgery, which is not operated yet. Lijing's parents arrived on 7/18 to take care of her.

The Friendship Association of Chinese Students and Scholars (FACSS) at UTA is raising a foundation now, and donation via check is available as shown above. DETAILS ABOUT DONATION IS ATTACHED AND ALSO AVAILABLE ON http://www.soundmap.org/Lijing/.

I, here, proposed in person, that all us HUSTers at Virginia Tech concern about her and her situation; help her and her family out as much as we can: money, prayers, wishes, etc. Since she hasn't purchased enough medical insurance due to no such symptoms in the past, MONEY is the very first thing in need. So please send some to her family if you can, and forward this email to HUSTers whom this email haven't been sent at VT, or even at other universities or institutes.


PS, I know Lijing Liu in private, since we both applied for Fall 2008 at universities in U.S. and in the Abroad online community at bbs.BYHH.net. She is quite a strong-in-heart girl at such young age, born in 1988. She is always very optimistic to life and helpful to people. Many friends familiar with her were shocked when hearing her illness and very sad about it. We concern, and we are trying to help her as friend.
